Llano de Chajnantor

ESO - European Southern Observatory

it's a international organization, which was founded in 1962.

It's aim is build astronomical observatories in the southern hemisphere.

 

On the plateau Llano de Chajnantor is ALMA.

ALMA is a machine astrophysics.

ALMA construcion is to be completed in 2013.

ALMA is to have 66 antennas.

Torre de Belem

One of the biggest tourist attractions in Lisbon is the Torre de Belem.

The tower wa built in the years 1515 - 1520, in the era of the great geographical discoveries.

 

The tower served a variety of functions:

- responsitory port,

- landmark for sailors returning

- prison

 

 

The tower is 35 meters high.

The lowest floors are under water.

 

 

The tower is beautiful.

I hope someday to visit her from the inside ;)

Teddy bear is the most faithful friend of every child.

Always ready to hug him :)

 

I have two postcards with bears.

First show brown bear from Belarus.

 

I received panda bear from China.



 

I really like both postcards.

 

These cards remind me of....

my favorite cartoon as a child "Yogi Bear".

I loved to watch the adventures of Yogi and his friend Boo Boo

in Jellystone park.

Their favorite activity was to acquire food by stealing from tourists baskets.

Bears often have problems with the guard Smith.

As it always happens in fairy tales - every story ended well :)

 

 

Lighthouse

I was looking for a long time postcard which reflects my state of mind.

I finally found it.

Postcard shows the lighthouse in Germany.

 

 

I would like to stay in this lighthouse alone with my thoughts

and listen music....
